The New Generation Singers Celebrate Christmas with Two Joyful Concerts
This Christmas season, The New Generation Singers brought the holiday spirit to life with not one, but two unforgettable concerts that showcased the group’s talent, history, and vibrant future. Packed with energy and filled with joy, these performances were a true testament to the group’s legacy and ongoing impact.
A Walk Down Memory Lane at Wyatt Park Christian Church
The first concert was held at Wyatt Park Christian Church, a venue that holds special significance for The New Generation Singers. This is the very building where the group’s story began 55 years ago. In 1969, the group performed their first-ever Christmas concert right here, and returning to this historic location felt like coming full circle. Wyatt Park Christian has also become the group’s secondary host church, providing continued support and encouragement over the years.
The evening was filled with nostalgia and joy, as the singers honored the past while looking ahead to the future. The church was bursting at the seams with families, friends, and supporters eager to experience the music and message of the season. The energy in the room was palpable, with every note resonating deeply with the audience and every singer pouring their heart into the performance. It was a celebration of the group’s roots, their growth, and the enduring power of music to bring people together.
Home for the Holidays at Ashland United Methodist Church
The second concert brought the festivities to Ashland United Methodist Church (AUMC), the primary home of The New Generation Singers for well over 45 years. AUMC has been more than a rehearsal space; it’s a cornerstone of the group’s identity and a hub of unwavering support. Year after year, this church has provided the perfect environment for nurturing talent and fostering community.
As with the first concert, AUMC was packed with a joyful audience, eager to see the singers in action. The spirit of the season was alive and vibrant, filling every corner of the church as the singers performed with enthusiasm and passion. It was a special moment to see so many new singers blending seamlessly with established members, their voices joining together to create something truly magical. The support from the audience and the camaraderie among the singers made this night one to remember.
A Celebration of Legacy and New Beginnings
Both concerts were not just performances; they were celebrations of tradition, community, and the transformative power of music. The joy on the faces of the audience and the singers alike was a reminder of why The New Generation Singers have been a beloved part of the St. Joseph community for over five decades. From honoring their roots at Wyatt Park Christian Church to celebrating their present and future at Ashland United Methodist Church, this Christmas season was a shining example of everything the group stands for.
The New Generation Singers are more than a choir—they are a family. And this Christmas, their music brought the community together in a way that only they can. Here’s to another 55 years of music, memories, and spreading joy to the world.

Tour Day 11 – Prescott AZ to Holbrook AZ
Hey Guys! Joseph again. Sorry the last couple of days have been so short and sweet, I’ve been tired! And the singers have been also. It has been a while since we went this direction (2015 to be exact), and I had forgotten how long the bus rides are. It’s tiring just...
Tour Day 10 – Anaheim CA to Prescott AZ
The singers have gone feral. We’ve lost all control and several of them are starting a commune in the Arizona desert. No, just kidding. The sponsors are much more likely to go feral than the kids Today was the most normal day of tour so far… at least from how a...
