Another time around the bend,
This time I will hold on.
The things I see I will press into my brain.
I don’t need a camera.

Another time around the bend,
Every conversation I don’t want to let go,
Was God cruel to create time that slips away?
Alexa, tell me the answer to that…
Better yet, give me more.

Another time around the bend,
The day after it’s over
I can feel it slipping away
The mountains were so huge just a day ago
Now they fit in my brain.

Another time around the bend,
This time I’ll appreciate it more,
Or maybe I’ll just see them as dopey kids,
I’ll tell myself it’s not that great,
I’ll tell myself it’s normal.

Another time around the bend,
Basking in the surreal glow of my friends,
I’ll eat some Mexican served by a white dude
And I’ll paste over how amazing it is I’m here…

I’ll eat the bread and sip the cup
