Tour Blog — Day 11 2026-07-28 — whitewater rafting, Missoula, MT. No missing what today was all about: Whitewater Rafting with the Montana River Guides company. Man, were these guys awesome. They were so professional and kind and if it had anything to do with rafting,…
Tour Day 10 – Bonners Ferry ID to St. Pauls UMC Helena MT
Tour Blog — Day 10 I have been in an adult body for so long that sometimes I forget what it is like to be a teenager. Personally, I was a nut. I would have been the kind of kid on tour that I now have to grit my teeth a little to put up with. We don’t really have many…
Tour Day 9 – Trinity Lutheran Golden BC to Trinity Lutheran Bonners Ferry ID
Tour Blog — Day 9 We’re back in the U.S.!! I spent 22 years in the United States Army, for those of you who didn’t know. Not that it makes my reentry any more special than any of the singers’ — but it does give me a little perspective on people in their teens and…
Tour Day 8 – Jasper National Park Columbia Ice Fields
Tour Blog — Day 8 Hey everyone — as much as you know I like to work a little too hard to find a connection between some whimsical rumination and what we’re doing on tour, my brain just isn’t working that way tonight. I usually get at least one of these nights…

Tour Blog – Day 6 2026-07-23 — Alberta/Edmonton leg. Ok guys, before we get into the blog for today, I have to tell you this thing that happened. Kanda Sampson — if you haven’t met her, she’s about the sweetest little eighth grader there is — was talking to Emily and…
Tour Day 5 – Glacier National Park to Calgary AB
Tour Blog — Day 5 2026-07-22 — Glacier National Park, Going-to-the-Sun Road, border crossing into Alberta. I wonder if moose appreciate things. A ground squirrel ran by my feet at Logan Pass today and didn’t even seem to clock that I was there, he was so used to…
Tour Day 4 – Billings MT to Kalispell MT
Tour Blog — Day 4 “I looked out my window this morning and I saw a homeless man walking on the street. It struck me because I was in here and he was out there. I am traveling on these fancy busses across the country. And then I thought to myself how it is not…
Tour Day 3 – Laramie UMC to St Johns United Mission
Tour Blog — Day 3 Did you know that everywhere you’ve ever been you have made a little map of that place in your head? Literally, there are billions of little neurons in there, each one of them are solely dedicated to marking out a blip on the map. You reference…
