Our 2026 Summer Singout season officially began in a place that has become much more than just another stop on our schedule—Faith Church on Karnes Road in St. Joseph. For as long as Pastor Jim Oswald has led the church, New Generation Singers has been welcomed with open arms. In fact, their support is so consistent that they often have us booked for the following year before we even leave the building.
There is something special about arriving at a place where people know your name, are genuinely excited to see you, and celebrate what our students are doing. Faith Church provides the perfect setting for our first performance of the season. It gives our students the opportunity to experience all the parts of touring—unloading equipment, setting up, performing, tearing everything down, and packing it all back into the truck for the next stop.
As meaningful as those experiences are, the greatest gift Faith Church gives us is the feeling of being home. What was once a performance venue has become a familiar place filled with familiar faces. We are treated like family every time we walk through the doors, and there is no better way to begin another Summer Singout season.
