One of the highlights of our Summer Singout weekend was our morning performance at Huffman United Methodist Church. From the moment we arrived, the congregation made us feel welcome and appreciated. Their hospitality was evident in so many ways, including the cookies and water they graciously provided for our singers before and after the performance.
What made this stop especially meaningful was seeing so many New Generation Singers alumni in attendance. There is something special about former members returning to support the group that helped shape so many of their memories. Their presence served as a reminder of the lasting impact this ministry has had on generations of young people.
The audience brought incredible energy and enthusiasm throughout the performance, making it a wonderful experience for our singers. After the concert, parents gathered for an important tour meeting while the students headed to Bartlett Park for a fun afternoon together. The singers enjoyed pizza, fellowship, and spent time making pillowcases for tour, creating memories and friendships that will travel with them throughout the summer.
One thing that continues to warm my heart at every performance is seeing our parents show up in such strong numbers. Their support fills pews, encourages our students, and reminds each church we visit that New Generation Singers is truly a family effort. We are grateful for every parent, alumni, and supporter who helped make this morning so special.
