The New Generation Singers from St. Joseph, MO, took a longer drive than usual to perform at the Good Shepherd Church Gladstone campus. This was their second annual visit, and the group was excited to see familiar faces. Several of the adult sponsors are members of this church, making it feel like a home away from home.

This visit was special because it gave the choir a chance to meet up with many alumni who now live in the city and surrounding areas. Reconnecting with past members is one of the things that make the New Generation Singers so great. It felt like a family reunion, showing how strong the bonds within the group are. For the current singers, this experience was a great example of what a day on tour could look like.

The church also provided a meal for the singers before their concert, which was greatly appreciated. Their performance was powerful and heartfelt, reminding everyone why they sing – to spread God’s word through music beyond the walls of their home church. The audience was deeply moved, and the evening was a success, fulfilling the choir’s mission.
