Wagoner, OK. Day 14.
I’m going to keep it short and sweet tonight, folks. We are on the penultimate day of tour, and today was quite a way to spend our last performance on the road.
I have been to a lot of churches with New G on tour, but I can honestly say that I have NEVER been to a church that was this excited about our arrival. When the busses pulled up to the church, volunteers poured out of the building with hugs and smiles, all of them wearing matching shirts with our logo embossed on the back. When we walked in there was a goodie bag for each of the singers with our tour logo printed on the bags. These guys really went all out.
The performance reflected the level of love that the kids felt from the church. Bemo says that in some performances the singers just “won’t be denied”. This was one of those. There were tears from the kids right away with Garrison’s opening dialogue. They were deeply moved and that emotion poured out to the congregation.
After the benediction we divvyed up the girls to different host homes, and the boys all got bussed over to a rec center where the church has volleyball, foosball, you name it. We told them to be in bed before midnight…Good Lord, I hope they listen…
You have so much reason to be proud of these amazing young people, I know I sure am!
See you tomorrow…

Remaining Schedule
Tour Day 5 – Las Vegas, NV to Bakersfield, CA
Well, I’m leaving Las Vegas today, Leaving Las Vega-a-a-a-s. Any Sheryl Crow fans out there? Tap, tap… Is this thing on??? Anyway, Leaving Las Vegas is exactly what we did. At least after we swung by the Bellagio so that the singers could gawk at the opulence that...
Tour Day 4 – Moab UT to Las Vegas NV
I mentioned in the blog post yesterday the stark and inhospitable beauty of Eastern Utah, and I think that nowhere else exemplifies this more than Moab, UT. I kept expecting to come across as cowboy in a 5 gallon hat hunting an outlaw named Rufus who was hiding down...
Tour Day 3 – Estes Park, CO to Moab, UT & Arches National Park
Hey everybody! Joseph here with your day 3 update. Today we woke up in beautiful Estes Park, CO to a brisk 55-degree morning. It started bright and early with Emily leading a sunrise yoga session. Mountains in the background, the whole nine yards. After that it was...
Tour Day 2 – Ogallala, NE to Estes Park, CO
Back to the Future makes time travel seem really cool, but the evidence points to the contrary. Really, I’m not a fan. Yesterday we went one hour back into the past when we crossed into Mountain Daylight Time. It just made me want to sleep another hour, and from the...
