Hey everybody! Joseph here with your day 3 update.  Today we woke up in beautiful Estes Park, CO to a brisk 55-degree morning. It started bright and early with Emily leading a sunrise yoga session. Mountains in the background, the whole nine yards.

After that it was on the busses for and preparing for a long day of driving.  This is when the reality of tour really begins to sink in, I think. It’s a reality that butts the beauty of the scenery with the endurance test that is a 7 hour bus ride. It’s tough for seasoned vets, too.  The new of tour is starting to wear off, and you realize that some of the niceties that you have at home (like privacy) aren’t coming your way for another 12 days.  But the fruit of losing some of the privileges of back home is common sacrifice that leads to the foundation of some great relationships. So, if your kiddo is starting to feel that sacrifice a little by now, rest assured that they are rubbing up against some awesome kids that very well may form life long friendships.  Over and over again I here alumni of the group say one of the things they end up missing most is time on the bus.

Going though western Colorado and into Utah was AMAZINGLY beautiful as it turned from the dramatic beauty of the Colorado Rockies to the stark and inhospitable beauty of the Eastern Utah rock formations. We ended up in Moab, UT where we ate at this really cool little food truck park and then stopped at Arches National Park.  We all climbed a trail that led to the main arch, so if you haven’t seen pictures from your kiddo yet, nag them to upload it to the New G Google Drive!!!

No singing tonight, but we’ll be singing in Las Vegas tomorrow!!
