Tour Day 5 – Glacier National Park to Calgary AB

Tour Blog — Day 5 2026-07-22 — Glacier National Park, Going-to-the-Sun Road, border crossing into Alberta. I wonder if moose appreciate things. A ground squirrel ran by my feet at Logan Pass today and didn’t even seem to clock that I was there, he was so used to…

Tour Day 4 – Billings MT to Kalispell MT

Tour Blog — Day 4 “I looked out my window this morning and I saw a homeless man walking on the street. It struck me because I was in here and he was out there. I am traveling on these fancy busses across the country. And then I thought to myself how it is not normal…

Tour Day 3 – Laramie UMC to St Johns United Mission

Tour Blog — Day 3 Did you know that everywhere you’ve ever been you have made a little map of that place in your head? Literally, there are billions of little neurons in there, each one of them are solely dedicated to marking out a blip on the map. You reference…

Tour Day 2 – Ogallala UMC to First UMC Laramie

Tour Blog — Day 2 Every church needs a Tami Munari. Not all churches have a Tami, but all good churches do. First United Methodist in Laramie, WY is one of those churches. When we pulled up, Tami met us at the door in an apron, like she’d been cooking — because she…

Tour Day 1 – Send Off at AUMC to Ogallala UMC

Tour Day 1 The journey of a thousand miles begins beneath your feet. It’s not Bible, it’s actually a Chinese proverb, but I think it applies here. HERE, that is right where you are, the ground under your feet. And then a step. More ground. A new place, but still the…

2026 – Lift Your Eyes – Tour Meeting

Everyone is in a weird mood. Not a bad mood, per se, just unusual, rare. It’s a mood that only takes people once a year – exactly one week before tour starts. It’s usually the Sunday before where I really notice it, and if I were pinned down to describe it, the first…

Sing-Out #8 – Wyatt Park Christian Church

Wyatt Park Christian Church — A Morning We’ll Never Forget Our final Summer Singout before heading out on tour brought us to Wyatt Park Christian Church, and it was a morning filled with emotion from beginning to end. While every church on our schedule holds a special…

Sing-Out #7 – Frazier Baptist Church

After two morning performances, we wrapped up a full day with our evening concert at Frazier Baptist Church, and what a wonderful way to finish. The church welcomed us with incredible hospitality, including a meal for our singers, and made us feel appreciated from the…

Sing-Out #6 – Ashland United Methodist Church

Some churches host New Generation Singers for a day. Ashland United Methodist Church has hosted us for generations. For well over 45 years, this church has been the home of New G, and that word “home” truly means something here. This is where we rehearse week after…

Sing-Out #5 – Brookdale Presbyterian Church

Because of Father’s Day, our Summer Sing-out schedule featured just one performance, but it was a meaningful one as we returned to Brookdale Presbyterian Church. This marks the second consecutive year that New Generation Singers has spent Father’s Day with this…
