Hey Joe Town! I’m going to make this one kind of brief since I spent all my poetry on yesterday’s blog post.
We drove in the busses from Panama City Beach to Orlando today. This is the second longest bus ride we’re going to have this year! AND…we’re over halfway today! The amount of time you’ve been away from your kiddos, you now have less time to live it up a little while we’re gone. So, get that extra golf game in, leave the cucumbers on your eyelids a little longer this week, or whatever it is you do (I don’t judge), because it’s all you got.
We had tour worship tonight where we explored the parable of the lost sheep. It was a great reminder that even though our singers are up on the risers reminding their audiences that have a God who will not leave them lost, they too are being pursued by God.
We had a little time crunch this afternoon, so we had to get worship in before we ate. Cailey said it best when she said that the hotel felt more like an airport with all the door dash drivers pulling up. But everyone is fed, room checks complete, we sing tomorrow at St. Lukes UMC here in Orlando tomorrow morning. Great news, though – we’re in this hotel for three days, so the suitcases can spread a little.
Until then.
Joseph

Tour Day 11 – Oasis of Love, Raystown Lake – Seven Points Amphitheater
Tour 2023 is over half-way complete boys and squirrels! It never seems real. Both singers and sponsors spend an entire year prepping for tour just to have it flit away. I honestly feel like it just started. Everyone had spent the weeks and months before tour making...
Tour Day 10 – New York, New York – Huntingdon, PA @ Oasis of Love Church
Leaving New York City is kind of a surreal experience. In the morning we were holding up traffic and dodging pedestrians trying to get our suitcases loaded on the bus, and not an hour out of the city we were flying by corn fields. The contrast was jarring. Getting off...
Tour Day 9 – Church and Sites with Bemo in NYC
There are probably quite a few of you who don’t know that I (Joseph, again) retired from the Army after 22 years. You can imagine that I have done some pretty grueling work in my day. I’ve carried very heavy rucksacks for many many miles at a time, I once went three...
Tour Day 8 – New York City – Broadway Show New York New York
I love the city. I know, I know, it’s not an opinion that is held by all. Especially, those of us that had a choice to live somewhere other than Saint Joseph but chose the city bountiful anyway. I’m one of those people (Emily and I actually live in Kansas City) but...
