Fall Rally
Kick off the season, elect new leadership, meet the group, and get placed in your vocal part. Prepare for Christmas Season.
Weekly Rehearsals
Sundays, 5:00–7:30 p.m. at Ashland UMC — every week you're building that season's set.
Spring Rally / Tour Prep
Fine-tune the Song list and get ready for tour: logistics, roommates, and final rehearsals.
Summer Tour
Take the Sermon & Song on the road to local churches and across the country. This is what it's all for.

Before you Apply
Do I need previous choir experience?
Nope. Some members walk in with years of choir behind them, others have never sung outside the shower. Rehearsals are where you actually learn your part. With a passion to try. Besides you wouldn't join a bowling league if you didn't at least have an interest in bowling.
What if I don't know anyone in the group?
Totally fine — plenty of our members joined solo and now can't imagine their friend group without New G. It's easier if you already know someone, but it's absolutely not required.
Our honest advice: give it a real shot, and try to stick with it through one full tour year before deciding if it's for you. That first year — especially the tour — is usually when it clicks and the friendships and growth really show up.
What's the time commitment?
Weekly rehearsals Sundays from 5:00–7:30 p.m. at Ashland United Methodist Church (the schedule shifts occasionally around holidays and events), plus a summer sing-outs and tour. As well as we will have committee meetings, and social events! It's a real commitment — and that's part of why it means something.
How do I apply?
